A Quiet Easter for All

Today was the quietest Easter that I could ever remember.  Cameron left right after lunch to play golf with Grandpa Cutes and his friends.  Doug headed out shortly afterward for the Indianapolis Airport.  I spent the afternoon working on projects around the house and enjoying the sunshine on an afternoon walk.  Meg was at the Union all afternoon, studying for an Audit test.  Brett met her for a walk later in the evening after he finished organizing his desk.  It was the last project for him to complete after moving everything in his apartment for the carpet replacement a few weeks ago.  Cal offered to come home, but I encouraged him to save that for another weekend when more people were here.  He instead went to lunch with one of his friend and enjoyed quite a bit of time outside.

Cameron told me before he left that he would be ready for an Easter Egg hunt once he got home from golfing.  He and Alina had colored eggs earlier in the week and he had six ready for me to hide.  He found the first four easily.  I had hidden the last two in spots that we had never used before today.  Once he found those, we turned our attention to the Masters.  We thought for awhile that it wouldn't be much of a match, but Brooks Koepka blew a four stroke lead early and it became extremely interesting.  In the end Jon Rahm won, giving Doug the victory in our family pool.  Cameron and I finished the evening watching "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown" wondering once again why Peppermint Patty just didn't boil the eggs herself.  It definitely was a quiet Easter for the Heinisch family, but a nice one just the same.
