Movie Night & The World's Largest Pizza

It has been very nice having Cal here.  Although he has had to work nine hours a day, we have still been able to spend a lot of time with him.  He in turn has enjoyed the company, the sunshine, the daily walks and the homemade meals.  Tonight, we decided to give Doug a break from cooking and ordered pizza instead.  Cal hadn't had "The Captain" from Piesano's yet and we knew that he would really like it.  I was in charge of ordering and picking up the pizza.  I must have been thinking that I was feeding our entire family instead of just the three of us as I accidentally ordered their 20-inch pizza instead of the normal 16.  It was by far the largest pizza that I had ever seen.  The slices were enormous as well.  Thankfully, the guys didn't mind as it gave them a lot of leftovers for tomorrow.

While we were eating our dinner, Cal suggested the movie September 5 as it had just come out on streaming.  Doug and I were definitely up for watching it.  We had tried to see it in the theaters, but the movie wasn't widely released because of the sensitivity of the topic.  The film was a historical docudrama about the ABC sportscasters covering the hostage situation at the 1972 Munich Olympics.  The movie was very well done, and we were all hooked from the very first minute.  Doug and I remembered a lot of the story, but Cal knew very little.   We thought it depicted the tragedy very well and even had the original footage of Jim McKay and the terrorists. All of us were amazed that the Olympic events continued while the Israeli athletes were being held captive.  We were also surprised by the ineptness of the German police to secure the release of the hostages.  Overall, it was a fantastic movie that we all enjoyed very much.
