Hollywood Studios

Cameron and I were up early this morning just after Doug left for work. Since we were staying at a Disney resort, we were able to enter Hollywood Studios a half hour early. Cameron hadn’t been there in a while and was looking forward to getting on a few of his favorite rides. The park was crowded already at 8:30 but thankfully by staying at the Beach Club, we were able to skip ahead and ride Slinky Dog Dash before Hollywood Studios opened officially. From there, we headed over to Toy Story Mania, which is my favorite ride in the park. Cameron destroyed me in total points, but I had fun just the same.

After a few more rides, we decided to get lunch. Cameron picked the Baseline Tap, which is my go-to lunch spot as well. We each ordered a large soft pretzel and then got dessert from the ice cream stand.  After we ate, Cameron asked me if I wanted to go on Rise of the Resistance. He had only been on it once and I had never been on the new Star Wars ride, so we decided that the hour-long wait was worth it.  Just standing in the queue felt like we were in the movie Star Wars for real. The ride was absolutely amazing. We dodged lasers from the Storm Troopers and helped defeat the First Order. In the end, it was definitely worth the wait.

The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping and one last trip for Cameron on Aerosmith's Rock ‘n’ Roll roller coaster as the fan favorite ride will change to a Muppet theme later this year. We left the parks by 3 o’clock and made it home just before Doug did. Everyone was glad to be back in Ocala. We spent the rest of the night watching basketball and eating Marco’s pizza for dinner. It was a great way to spend day number two of Cameron’s Spring Break.
