Our first adventure started as soon as he landed as we headed straight to Disney's Beach Club & Resort for an overnight stay and a couple of days in the parks. Our room wasn't quite ready, but Cameron and I had a lot of fun touring the resort before walking over to Epcot for the Flower & Garden Show. Before Doug had gotten off of work, we had walked through all of the countries checking each of the food booths while sampling several of the featured items for lunch. We also rode Figment, found all of the Spike honeybees, took pictures of our favorite topiaries and did a little shopping as well.
Doug met us at the hotel once he arrived late in the afternoon. We were all impressed with our room and loved the patio area. There was a side door to our wing that made our walk back to Epcot a short one. Doug enjoyed all of the food booths as much as we did and tried several of the festival drinks as well. We left the park just before the fireworks started and hung out at the hotel bar for a little while before heading back to the room. Doug and I made use of the patio while Cameron called Cora. None of us made it up late, but we all had a fantastic first day of Cameron's spring break.
