A Day at Home

Doug and I were up early and home by noon.  I was glad that we decided to do so as Cal met us at the door with a handful of items that he had cleaned out of his room.  He was ready to mark them for the garage sale and take them over to Grandma's.  He and I spent a good portion of today working on that project.  By then end we had three boxes of items for him to set up.

While Cal and I were working, Parce stopped by.  He was in Nappanee for the weekend for his 50th class reunion.  It sounded like he had had a great time.  He has opted out of coming back for Jeannette's pool party next weekend as he had to switch apartments in Bloomington before August 8th.  We gave him back his microwave that Brett had been using this past school year.  Cal doesn't need one anymore, so Brett will use our old one.

Meg spent the day reading Devil in the White City.  She hung out with friends most of yesterday and had some catching up to do.  She has found the architecture part of the book boring, but the story of H.H. Holmes has been interesting.  Cam was golfing when we got home, but was back well before dinner.  Doug was able to finish the mowing and grill dinner for everyone.  My parents joined us as well along with a game of corn hole or two.  It was a nice way to end a wonderful weekend.
