Lottery Bingo

I woke up early this morning and checked to see if anyone was up. I was happy to see that Cal had just started the movie Piranha and sat down to watch it with him.  I had not seen it since it originally came out in the late 1970s. Cal had read that Stephen Spielberg said that it was the best of all of the Jaws copycat movies, and we could see why.  Even the "evil" resort owner who refused to believe that there were man-eating fish in the river was an exact copy of the mayor from Jaws. Although it wasn't quite the thriller that the killer shark movie was, we both enjoyed it very much.

Once it was over and everyone was packed for their return trips to the Midwest, we headed to 7-11.  I needed gas and Cal wanted to turn in his $3 winning lottery ticket.  He used it to buy another one and had fun playing "Lottery Bingo" on the way to Orlando.  Traffic was light and we had plenty of time to pick up Nick and make it to Rock N Brews before Karen and Brett needed to be at the airport.  The service at the restaurant made Mellow Mushroom look fast last night, but none of us really minded.  It gave the guys time to debate politics while I watched some of my favorite music videos from the 1970s and 1980s.

The three of us dropped Karen and Brett at the Orlando Airport two hours before their flight.  Karen texted that TSA was a nightmare, but they made it to their terminal well before their boarding time.  On our way back to Nick's, both he and Cal picked up more Lottery Bingo tickets.  None of the cards were winners, but they had fun playing them just the same.  Cal turned on football while we waited for Meg and Doug to arrive.  Doug offered to take Cal to the airport so that I could head back home before it got too late.  I visited with Meg for a little while before taking off.  I was definitely tired from the activity over the past four days but made it to Ocala with no problem.  I spent the rest of the evening in my chair, resting and reflecting on what a wonderful time I had had with all of my children.  Doug and I truly are blessed.
