The Christmas holiday season officially began for our family when Brett, Karen and Cameron walked off the plane at Orlando International Airport at 1 p.m. today. I was there to greet them and from then on, we had an awesome day. First, I took the three of them to Disney Springs where we had lunch at Chicken Guy and then found success shopping as Cameron bought the last two gifts on his list while Brett and Karen purchased a few Christmas items to add to their holiday decorations. We ended our afternoon picking up Gideon cookies before heading to Baldwin Park to meet Doug and Meg.
After a tour of Meg's apartment, seeing all of her holiday decorations and watching the new Rumba clean the floors, the six of us went to Gator Dockside for dinner. The Christmas lights along the way were absolutely gorgeous and added to our festive mood. Our meals were delicious, and we had a lot of fun talking about our day in Disney Springs, Meg's work accomplishment and everyone's plans for the next few days. It was a wonderful way to start our family's holiday break.
