I cannot remember another time in the last 27 years that there were only three of us at home for Christmas Day. It was very strange, but at the same time very relaxing. We let Cameron pick what we did for the day which included watching the entire Disney Christmas parade, subscribing to Netflix to watch several NFL football games, playing a multitude of games, having spaghetti for dinner, and finishing the night with The Grinch and White Christmas.
I did take time out from our “busy” holiday schedule to wish each of my other children and my parents a very merry Christmas by phone. I was extremely happy to hear that they were having a wonderful, relaxing day as well. I also texted several of my friends and other family members to wish them holiday cheer as well. I even squeezed in a little bit of time to give Doug a haircut and read some more of my Beatles book. Overall, it was a wonderful Christmas and a great way to relax before we all celebrate together this weekend.
