Doug goes to bed by 10:15 every night due to new work schedule. Because of that, I have been going to bed earlier as well. I used to stay up and watch Chicago PD or another show when he went to sleep but lately, I prefer to get up early. Thus, it's rare that I stay up past 11 p.m. anymore. My decision to rise early came in very helpful this week. I didn't sleep past 7 a.m. any morning and today was up well before 6 a.m. With the extra time I have been able to pack for this weekend's trip, complete some work for CCW and even watch a few of my shows before I left the house.
The best part about changing my sleep schedule is that it should be no problem for me to go to bed at 8:30 p.m. tonight for our 2:30 a.m. wake up call. Our flight leaves the Orlando airport at 6:50 a.m. and we want to be there in plenty of time to park and navigate security before boarding. October is one of the busiest travel months of the year here because of all of the tourists enjoying their fall break in Florida. With the cancellations due to Hurricane Milton, it has gotten even busier this year. Hopefully our plan to leave before I-75 gets crowded works, and we are well on our way to Bloomington by 10 a.m. tomorrow. Neither one of us can wait for the weekend.
