To celebrate my 46th birthday Doug and I decided to shop for new living room furniture. We have both talked about replacing our current set. It has served us well for the last ten years, but it is definitely showing wear. We plan to keep it as furniture in the basement and maybe even a chair in Cal's room. We stopped in Warsaw at two different stores. The first one had a set that we really like. We could order it in purple and a pattern to match. The second store did not have as much variety or color. The furniture was less expensive, but neither of us thought it would last long in our busy family. We are going to decide on Monday what we would like to purchase, but right now we are both leaning toward the furniture at the the first store.
After shopping for furniture we headed to Target in Fort Wayne. They had a great deal on video games - buy two get one free. We picked up some awesome Christmas gifts (once I got ahold of Brett and verified the systems we have.) We stopped for a small bite to eat and then headed to the chocolate store. They had some phenomenal truffles and Doug bought me a box for my birthday. We did some window shopping at Pier One Imports and found more Christmas gifts at Kohl's.
We topped off the weekend with dinner at Chop's Wine Bar. The food was delicious and the dessert was one of the best we have ever had. It was pumpkin/chocolate cheesecake. I had such a wonderful birthday. It was so nice to spend the day with Doug.
