We left early this morning to take Brett back to Bloomington. Doug and he wanted to tailgate with Parce and Chokey before the Purdue - IU game. Meg, Cam and I headed to Noodles and Company on Kirkwood. We have never been and Brett said it was worth trying. After the tailgate Brett met backup with us and Doug went with Parce and Chokey to the game. Doug had never been to the Old Oaken Bucket game and thought this would be a great opportunity to do so.
The four of us went shopping at Barnes and Noble. Brett and I did some Christmas shopping and Cam and Meg found books that they wanted. Cam has read five books in a series and wants to finish the last two before Christmas break. Meg is taking a break from Harry Potter to read a book that all of her friends liked. When we finished at "The Barnes" (as Brett calls it) we stopped at Target. We found a really cute Santa pig decoration for outside our house, but decided that might be a little much for Doug. Thus, we bought a Snowman and some packages that light up.
The rest of the afternoon was spent at the movie theater watching Big Hero 6. Brett and Cameron had really been wanting to see it as it is the latest creation from Disney. We all liked it and by the time the movie was over Doug was done with the IU game. He watched the ending of the game at Nick's. IU scored in the last thirty seconds for the win.
We tried going bowling, but nothing was open in the Union. Thus, we walked around campus, shopped at a couple of varsity shops and ate dinner at Buffalouies. After that Brett headed back to the dorm. He was exhausted as he slept less than an hour last night. We went to Parce's to visit with him and watch more football. We ended the evening with breadsticks.
Brett's time at home seemed so short, but we did do a lot. The best part about his visit is that in less than three weeks he will be home for Christmas break. We have already started talking about what we will do then.
