Hoosier Hoops on Kirkwood

With a new coach and a new outlook for IU men's basketball, the program decided to do something different this year.  To promote their new season and the women's, both programs hosted Hoosier Hoops on Kirkwood.  A temporary basketball court was built on the famed Bloomington street to showcase the talent on both teams.  Cameron was unsure how the teams would pull off the exhibition but said that it was a lot better than he thought it would be and loved watching all of the activities including a men's players hitting a long shot from the top of Upstairs Pub and Cora winning the Knock-Out competition.  He was still skeptical that either team would live up to the hype during the season but definitely enjoyed the evening.

Cameron was involved in basketball in another way this weekend as SAB hosted a three-on-three charity tournament to benefit the homeless called the Candy Stripe Classic.  He had taken on more of a role than he had planned but was glad that it went well in the end.  Cameron even got to take a turn on the court when one of the teams unexpectedly dropped out and he and several other members of the Student Athletic Board had to step in and play a game.  They didn't win but were happy that it went well.  The championship game will be played at halftime of Hoosier Hysteria when college basketball season starts for real later this month. I can't wait to hear what Cameron has to say about that.
