I did not take the decision about my blog lightly. I had been writing a family blog since 2012. It had been a great way for Jeanette to keep up with our family life when she was ill. My mom and a few others had enjoyed reading it as well, so even after Jeanette died, I continued writing. Over the past few years, I have really come to enjoy putting down on "paper" what we have been up to in our daily life. Meg and I have also found it useful when we needed to remember the details of an important event.
Because of this, I knew that I would regret it if I didn't catch up on my blog. Thus, I started small with daily goals of one or two extra blogs a day. Once I got back into the writing grove, I then moved on to a weekly goal of ten or more blogs. It became a priority on my to-do list and soon I realized that I was able to set an end goal. I didn't quite finish in the time frame that I thought I would as I had planned on being done by this past Friday. Thankfully, the missed deadline didn't detour me and today I was able to finally close my computer in complete satisfaction as I was 100% caught up on my blog. It felt really good to meet my goal and to promise myself that I would never be put myself in that position again.
