Hanging Out at Hiatus

The last two days had been a lot of fun.  Yesterday, I went to Magic Kingdom after I checked out of our room at the Contemporary.  It was crowded, but overall, not too bad.  I enjoyed walking around and looking in all of the shops.  I also tried the red velvet Christmas donut for breakfast. I chose not to ride anything because of the long lines but was able to get into Mickey's Philharmagic and the new Country Bears Jamboree, which I liked a lot better than the original one.  It had more Disney songs and the animatronics didn't have the loud blinking anymore.   

Doug picked me up at the Contemporary early yesterday afternoon.  He had gone to his company Christmas party and enjoyed it very much.  It ended at 1:30 which gave us plenty of time to try out the food booths at the Epcot Festival of the Holidays.  We were very impressed with them as in years past they mostly just had a lot of different cookies to try.  This year there were a lot more food choices and we both had a wonderful afternoon before heading back to Ocala.

Today, Doug worked outside while I rested.  I was absolutely exhausted, and my leg was really bothering me, so I was extremely thankful for the break.  We did still make it out of the house today for some fun.  We met Phil at Hiatus for dinner.  The three of us have really come to like the local brewery.  The location is perfect - a little over a mile from our house, and the beer that they brew is delicious.  The food menu has grown over the bast few months, and we have enjoyed trying the different dishes.  Overall, it has been a great addition to our weekly plans and hanging out at Hiatus has become one of our favorite weekend activities.
