After the IU game last night Doug, Cal, Brett and I watched The Gran Torino. Ever sine we took them to The Mule on Saturday, we had wanted them to see it so they could compare movies. Both boys liked it as much as we did and felt it had a lot of similarities to The Mule. They found the last half hour as intense as we did and in the end agreed that both were excellent movies, with a slight nod given to The Gran Torino.
Today Brett, Cam and I went to Warsaw to check out Rocket Fizz. I had heard from Mary that it was a lot like Wakarusa Dime Store and we wanted to see what they had to offer. They definitely had a lot of candy, although most were normal ones that we could buy at a typical candy store. We did find a few older ones to try and picked up something for everyone. The pop selection was outstanding. The bottles lined the room and it was hard for us to decide which ones to purchase. We finally settled on Grape Crush for Meg, Moxie for Brett and Cal, a new root beer for Cam and kumquat flavored Martian soda for all to try.
Doug made dinner tonight for everyone. Brett and Cal picked chicken curry and Cam and I asked for chili. Meg went ice skating with Mariah and Emma, so we didn't see her until later in the evening. Mom and Dad came up to play games. We started with Oh Hell and Trumpet and moved on to Apples to Apples once Cal got back from exercising. Everyone also tried the Martian soda. It was actually worse than Sweet Corn soda. Cam said that we'll have to try Grass soda the next time. That sounded interesting.
