Twas the Night Before Christmas . . .

Twas the Night Before Christmas and all through the Heinisch home we were decorating gingerbread house, attending children's mass, opening Godparent gifts and watching our favorite Christmas movies.  This has been our family tradition for as many years as I can remember and no one has grown tired of it yet.  We did skip Christmas light viewing as the last two years they have become fewer and farther between.  We added delivering Christmas cakes to our neighbors today, playing Christmas Kahoot and making homemade pizzas complete with anchovies.  All have become family favorites (well, maybe not the anchovies.)  Brett was glad to have broken his tradition of face planting in the middle of the aisle at mass and Cal starting something new by watching Star Wars Revenge of the Sith with us.  All in all it has been one perfect Christmas Eve.  I can truly say that "It is a Wonderful Life."
