Tomorrow is pajama day at Milford school and Meg really wanted to wear the new pajamas she made in FACS class. They were made out of Minion fleece and matched her shirt perfectly. We realized, however, to do so we would need to work on them last night as there was a problem when she was sewing her inseam. Thus, we pulled out the ripper at 4 p.m. and went to work. We also cut out an extra piece to put down the side as they were a little snug and by dinner time she had them all sewn back together and tried on. The waist was the next issue, so we called Mom to see if she could help. Meg also needed to study for the spelling bee and her Geometry test and Cameron really wanted to make a pair of pajama pants for himself as well. I had found the coolest "Olaf" fleece at Wal-Mart and knew it would be perfect for him.
While Doug helped Meg study, Mom worked on a waist band for Meg's pants and I started in on Cameron's pants. By 8:30 p.m. Meg had strung her drawstring and I finished hemming Cam's pants. Everyone was well fitted for bed and pajama day. It definitely was a project, but we had a great time working on them together. I was almost as proud as the Heinisch children. The pants may not have been perfect, but they fit, they were warm and they will be great for tomorrow. Meg and I even talked about making Brett a pair for his birthday!
