This afternoon Dad, Cam and I all went to see the musical "Smoke on the Mountain" at the Roundbarn Theater. We were all a little skeptical about it when it started, but after the first fifteen minutes or so we were hooked. It was a 1940s Baptist revival complete with songs and humor. The second act was even funnier than the first and we couldn't stop laughing at the preacher or the girl signing the songs for all of the deaf audience members.
We all really wished that Brett could have seen it too. He would have loved it. While we were there they announced the musicals for next year. I didn't catch them all, but I know I am excited for Fiddler on the Roof and believe the Heinisch children will really like The Miracle Worker. My Dad said Forever Plaid is one of his favorites and it is scheduled to be there as well. Doug thought it would be a great idea for us to renew our season tickets as we all seem to enjoy it so much. Even a musical that we knew nothing about turned out to be extremely entertaining.
