We picked Brett up at 9 a.m. for the Bloomington Farmer's Market. I love the sights and sounds of all of the vendors. We started in the craft area and there were several items we would have loved to buy, but they were a little pricey. We did find a great deal on bell peppers and zucchini. Brett bought a bees wax candle as well. Our last stop was the food tents. Everyone found something great for breakfast from pretzels to scones.
After an enjoyable morning we dropped Brett off at the Union and headed to Indy. We had promised Cameron we would go to the Haunted House at the Children's Museum once soccer and tennis were over and it was opening weekend. We made it there by lunch and explored the dinosaurs, Anne Frank, and science lab exhibits before the Haunted House opened. We thought about going to the special exhibit featuring the Ninja Turtles, but the line was at least a hundred people long. Instead Cam and I just peaked in the doorway. We aren't big fans of the Turtles anyway, so that was enough for us.
The Haunted House was a pirates theme this year. It was very well decorated and scared Cam and I quite a bit. We made him go first and Meg swears that one time Cam screamed and it was only a palm tree. Cam was positive that it was a person. I thought the creepiest part was walking through the long black hanging pipes. Meg said hers was the spinning tunnel. We all loved finding out our pirate names while we waited to get in. The boys were all "Squidlips Barth." I was "Old Barth" and Meg was "Deadman Barth."
We were home by 7 p.m. tonight, but Cal was already gone. He went to a Halloween party at Hannah Marie's Aunt's in Churubusco. They also went to a haunted house. Cal said it wasn't too scary, but I know I couldn't have handled it.
