Today I took Cam, Evan, Preston and Meg to Fashion Farm. It was cold and windy, but not as bad as I thought it would be. We started in the pumpkin patch. This year's theme was story book. The favorite exhibits were "The Blustery Day" with Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore and "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown." Once again the president pumpkins were a big hit and we made sure to take one of Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt for Brett.
After the pumpkins they toured three mazes. I am not sure one counted as a maze as the corn was so short that even Evan could see over it. I chose to skip the hay ride. It was too cold for me. I know they had fun as they were still talking when they returned. Everyone chose a snack and pumpkins and gourds before we left.
Doug and I headed to the Notre Dame vs. USC game after I got back. Jeannette invited us to go as her CFO had given her six tickets. We had a lot of fun although the tailgate was a lot more colorful then we would have expected. Jeannette and I figured that we would have stories to tell for years to come after that experience. The game was a close one and Doug really enjoyed it as he had never been to Notre Dame stadium before. We left after the third quarter as Notre Dame had gone ahead and we wanted to be home by midnight.
While we were at the game Mom took Meg, Preston and Cameron to the fish fry at their church. After it was over they decided to go to the haunted house in North Webster. Meg had gone the night before with Caleb and had a great time. Dad went with Cameron and they loved it. Meg and Preston thought it was lame, but I know they had a good time as well. Evan was working it, so he didn't go with them.
Cal spent the day with Hannah Marie. He came back home for awhile to get money and to let Mom know they were going to dinner and then carve pumpkins. He got home close to the same time as we did. As it was late Cam and Meg stayed at Mom's and we headed straight to bed. It was an exhausting day, but everyone had a wonderful time.
