We picked up both Meg and Cam this morning at Camp Crosley. They were excited to be home and had so many stories to share. They each had a fantastic time and made a lot of new friends. Cam said that this was the first year that he thought all of his counselors were fun. One even brought board games for the boys to play during down time. Meg had just as much fun as an LIT this week as last. She was assigned a cabin and enjoyed helping the girls. Both were glad to be home and ready for some rest, but would definitely go back in a heartbeat.
They did get some rest this afternoon while I worked on the laundry. There was quite a bit of it, but I made a pretty good dent in it by the end of the day. Meg's soccer coach had contacted her earlier in the week to see if she would play in their scrimmage today against Elkhart Christian. We knew she would be tired, but thought it was important to be a part of it as she had missed two weeks of practice to be at camp. Doug and I went to watch her. She did well for as tired as she was. Conditioning starts next week and she should be able to make it to all of those.
Cameron went golfing while we were at soccer. We stopped by the course on our way back. He and my Dad were on 11. Cam said he was ready to quit. He had played well, but was just to hot. He really liked his new irons. The four of us went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner once we changed. It was fun listening to all of their camp adventures. Cam said that this was the best year ever. After dinner Aaron and Preston came over as did one of Meg's friends from camp. They then went to Gabby's to crash her theater party. They even went tubbing with her. Cam went to Mom's to go swimming. He then stayed to play cards. So happy to have them home.
