Today was the official start of the Spring Sport season, although the weather didn't quite feel like it. The wind and cold, however, did not dampen the Heinisch children's spirit or play. Meg and Cameron both played very well in their soccer games. Neither team won, but I was very impressed with their skill and knowledge of the game.
Cal was the big winner of the day as his team won the Northrop Invitational at Colonial Oaks in Fort Wayne. He impressed us all with his score of 79. That made him low medalist on his team and earned him 3rd place overall. Not too bad for the first tournament of the season. Jeffrey and Tristen also played well finishing with an 80 and 82 respectively. Added to their trio is a foreign exchange student from Denmark, who broke 90 as well. I know that Coach Coverstone has plans for them to make it out of sectional as a team. I believe it is possible. No matter what, it was a fantastic way to kick off the Spring season. Happy to see that winter is truly over.
