A Short Break

Brett spent the morning reading, resting and searching the internet for political polls.  He was up early to take Cameron to school for us.  Meg had the SAT and wanted to leave at 7:20.  With late start Cam appreciated going in with Brett at 8 instead.  Cal's first stop of the day was the doctor's office.  He needed his third and final MMB vaccination.  It wasn't top on his to-do list while he was home, but he did say that it was better than finals.  After his shot he and Dad played golf at Maxwelton.  It was a close match with Grandpa Cutes winning by one in the end.

After golf they picked up Brett and Grandma for lunch at Ponderosa.  It wasn't Golden Corral, but definitely worth trying.  Everyone had fun visiting and with the boys home my parents weren't rushed to set up the voting polls for tomorrow.  Brett and Cal waited until Cam and I got home at 4 p.m. to leave.  I really appreciated that.  We doubled checked that they had everything and went over plans for Wednesday.  The boys' had gotten several of their grades back from last week and were pleased with the results.  Tomorrow Cal starts summer school and Friday Brett leaves for Washington D.C.  It may have been a short visit home, but a wonderful one for all.
