Scheduling a trip to the Midwest so quickly after spring break probably wasn't the best idea in retrospect, but at least I had time today to get the house back in order, the recycling dropped off and everything packed for my trip. Cameron had left a few things here and Brett still had an ornament that he bought over Christmas at our home as well. I was glad that I had room for all of those plus my clothes since I decided to take my large suitcase. Taking it would also give me room to bring back items from my parents that I still had stored in the bedroom closet.
I really appreciate that Doug decided to come up for the weekend while I was gone. I hate leaving him for so long and this will make it a lot easier on me. It will also give us a chance to see Brett, Karen, Maggie and Cal as we haven't spent time with them in person since Cameron's birthday in January. We are really looking forward to that.
