Brett and Cal came home last Thursday ready for a week of catching up with family and friends. In addition to their time socializing they had plans to finish homework and rest. Cal hadn't been feeling too well especially with his allergies. We debated today going to MedStat but decided instead just to try some over the counter remedies and rest. I couldn't talk him into trying the Netty Pot, but he did feel better by the end of the evening at least enough to have Jayce and Kyle over to hang out.
Brett has been using his time to work on a 14 to 20 page paper for his budgeting class. He was halfway through by the end of today. It has not been his favorite activity, but he felt great about the progress he made. It has a due date of December 7th, so he should have plenty of time to finish and edit it. With all of the work for budgeting he even made time to apply for a few summer internships as well.
It is a blessing to have both Cal and Brett home for the week. With them here our family feels complete. They add to the non-stop activity that has become the norm in the Heinisch home. The conversation never stops and the topics change continually. Thanksgiving was always a wonderful holiday for us, but it has become even more special over the past few years. Looking forward to Wednesday when we can all officially start Thanksgiving break.
