Today we got out all of the Christmas decorations. Meg and Cam worked on the Christmas tree. Brett decorated the basement and Cal stayed out of everyone's way. Doug set up our Christmas village and worked on the outside lights. It was 50 degrees which made it a lot easier this year. I spent my time getting out all of the additional sets that we put out each year including the decorations and stockings on the mantle, the Santas and the Christmas crafts that the Heinisch children have made over the years. For the first time ever we finished it all in one day and before dinner.
Tonight we celebrated my birthday with the entire Heinisch family and HM. Antonio's was the restaurant of choice and we each ordered a delicious Italian dish. It was great to have everyone together. We've seen a lot of each other this past week, but haven't sat down for a nice quiet dinner with all of us. It was wonderful to hear all of conversation and laughter around the table. I love that the Heinisch children enjoy hanging out with us. HM has been a willing participant in our family dinners as well. By the end of the evening I felt blessed beyond belief.
