Cameron started team tennis today and did very well. He has never played a match before, so I was worried about him playing #1 singles on his U12 team, but he did an awesome job winning 6-3. Doug and I were impressed with the consistency of his serve as that is the most challenging part of a young player. He also played boys doubles and mixed doubles as well. He looked pretty tired by the end of the two hours, but he said he really enjoyed it. He did hit his partner in the back when he was serving during one game. She didn't seemed too bothered by it and Meg and I got a chuckle out of it.
Meg played yesterday as well and we are equally impressed with the improvement she has shown in the last few months. She only had one match - girls doubles with Kendra. She had a lot of fun and hits her ground strokes well. She gets along well with the coach and her teammates including the boys team. Everyone loved giving her a hard time about only playing one match and needing "five hours to get ready for semi-formal." I am really looking forward to watching her play this Spring. It should be a fun season.
