Today Cam met my parents at the golf course to play the "Big Cup." They had already played a scramble and Cam wanted to see how he would do. He started off strong, but soon found out that the bigger the cup doesn't always mean the easier the putt. He was headed into the ninth hole needing a 7 to break 50. Not only did he miss breaking 50, he also missed 60 and came close to 70! The seven he needed turned into a 27 as the hole was in a tough pin placement and Cam found out that sometimes the Big Cup is harder than just a normal round.
The back went about the same. Cam played well on most holes and almost had a par on 14, but it quickly turned into a 33. Cam had fun despite the big numbers and I am very glad that he got to play. It was a beautiful weather day for it and he'll have lots of stories to tell about his missed opportunities and course record for putts for a long time to come.
