Today was the official start of golf season at the high school. Cal and his friends had a great first day. They had to play at Wawasee as South Shore is not open yet. Cal hit balls over the weekend, but hasn't really been able to play because of the snow. He was pleased with his first round out, shooting a 35 after bogeying the first hole. It may have been the five free ice cream cones at Dairy Queen that he had beforehand, but an awesome start just the same.
Meg and Doug were able to take advantage of the new tennis nets at the high school and hit balls for about an hour. She has really improved and was impressed with how hard she can hit it now. Cam also took advantage of the nice weather to hit the links. He and Grandpa headed out after basketball practice. They felt that they did pretty well also.
Overall, I am thrilled that Spring has come. We all are ready to be outside playing golf, tennis and soccer. The doctor said that my vitamin D count is low. Here comes the sun - just in time and I am ready.
