The golf bug has hit another one of the Heinisch children. After watching the US Open, Cameron is addicted. He has been at the course or in our yard hitting balls daily. He already is a pro at telling golf stories, just like his Grandpa Cutes. I know the score he had on each hole, the club he used and even the lie for each challenging shot.
I shouldn't be surprised that Cam is addicted. Doug got new clubs for our anniversary, my Dad plays almost daily, and my Mom loves carting him around. The biggest influence, however, is Cam's idol - the one he wants to be when he grows up, his hero - big brother Cal. It is neat that they have that bond. It is also great that Cal is back playing daily. His coach called yesterday and the boys and girls met to play in a scramble last night. Today Cal had his non-golfing, basketball buddies out on the links.
So it is official - another Heinisch joins the golf crew. He has his first tournament Thursday. Win, lose or draw, he will have fun and that is what is most important!
