Bloomington

I left my parents right after lunch today to meet Cal in Columbus.  I checked to see if Paula was available to get together on my drive down, but she was at a conference today.  I didn't mind as it gave me more time with my parents and the ability to mail a package that my dad sold on Marketplace.  Traffic on the way down was a nightmare with several of my normal routes closed.  It took me an extra hour, but thankfully, Cal was at his recruiting event at Purdue longer than he expected, so we arrived at almost the exact same time.

Once Cal changed, we left his car at Brett's apartment and headed to Bloomington.  The drive was a lot less stressful, and I really enjoyed catching up with Cal.  We picked up Cameron at his apartment and then checked into our room at the IMU.  Our room was very nice and in a great location on the first floor.  We walked through the Union to Kirkwood looking for a place for dinner.  We had thought about Buffalouie's, but they were packed for trivia night and settled on Nick's instead.  We each ordered a sandwich while Cameron and Cal talked about IU football.  Tomorrow night's game was predicted to be a one-sided victory for the Hoosiers, so instead of scores, they focused more on the atmosphere of the game, Cameron's internship and the new addition of our team mascot, The Bison.

After dinner, Cal, Cameron and I walked through several of the stores before heading back to the car. Cal and I had to leave to pick up Doug at the airport while Cameron needed to study.  We dropped him off at his apartment before going to Indy.  Cal and I arrived just as Doug was walking out the door of arrivals.  Our trip back to Bloomington was a nice one with a lot of talk about football, IU and auditing.  We made it back before midnight, exhausted, but happy to have the whole weekend in front of us.
