Bible Study

I was sad to miss the start of Bible study last week when I was in Indiana, but was happy to be back today.  The weekly meetings had been a big part of my spiritual life last year and I couldn’t wait to learn even more this year.  I was also looking forward to seeing the women that I had gotten to know last year, and to hear about our Bible study leader’s pilgrimage this summer.

This year we will be studying Isaiah from the Old Testament.  As happy as I am to be back, I am a little bit nervous about the topic.  Isaiah’s prophecies are dark and full of fire and brimstone in the beginning.  I do not like talking about deep topics with others, so I am not sure how the study would go.  Thankfully, today went well and I was glad to be back studying with such a lively, fun group again.  I know that I will miss days this year due to travel, but am really looking forward to the ones that I can attend.
