Visiting Grandma Jane

Meg, Doug, and I were all up early this morning so that he could take us to catch our 7:30 AM flight to Indianapolis. Meg and I had two heavy bags to check for our stay in the Hoosier state as both of us had items that we were bringing for Brett and Karen‘s wedding as well as clothes that we would need while we were there. I wasn’t sure that I was going to be able to get it all to fit, but I did and even kept my bag under the 50 pound limit. Thankfully, I had figured out for my trip in April to use the outside valet baggage service. It saved us a lot of stress this morning. Our flight was on time and Cameron was able to pick us up at the airport shortly after we grabbed our luggage from baggage claim. Meg made fun of Cameron for making me sit in the backseat of the van, but I was just happy to be on my way and shortly after lunch, we arrived in Syracuse

As soon as we got to my parents, we walked over to see Grandma Jane. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with the facility and was glad that Grandma was able to sit up and talk to us. She had a room all to herself with several chairs, a recliner, and a hospital bed. We visited with her for several hours before leaving for dinner.

Meg, Cameron, and Cora all went to Goshen to eat tonight. I stayed home with my dad and we walked back over to Grandma‘s later in the evening. We watched several westerns and ended of the night with Wheel of Fortune. Overall, I was super happy that we were able to get to Indiana to check on everyone and was thankful for a nice visit today.
