Yesterday, my dad told me that my mom wasn’t waking up. I decided to call the hospital nurse to see what the problem was. She wasn’t sure as this morning my mom was up eating her yogurt and talking about her grandchild. I became really worried. My Aunt Vicky decided to go over and see what was going on as she had called the hospital today as well. She was able to get my mom to wake up, but not completely. The doctor finally came in to check and he confirmed what my dad had thought the problem was. They had overmedicated her. I was relieved and by bedtime she was feeling a lot more alert.
After yesterday’s scare, I thought that it would be best if I flew up early before Brett’s wedding to visit my parents for a few days. That way, I could see my mom for myself and hopefully, help my dad with anything he might need. I changed my flight to arrive next Tuesday morning. Cameron was planning on going up then anyway and would be able to pick me up. Meg decided that she would do the same. Thankfully, I already had plans to be in Indiana the last week in July, so I didn’t have to worry about finding a flight for that month as well. Hopefully, my mom will be home and on the mend well before then.
