A JV Win

Today was a really long day, but one that produced a win for the girls' junior varsity team.  The game was played at Blackhawk Christian in Fort Wayne.  I had never been there.  It was quite the drive during rush hour.  My Dad and I left plenty early, but made it just before the game started.  We were glad that we got to see the first game.  Meg played very well scoring four points to give Bethany the lead that they worked hard to hold on to winning by one point in an intense game.

The varsity team won a close one as well.  Both games took longer than normal with a lot of fouls called and time outs taken in the fourth quarter.  It was well after nine before we left the school.  We ran through the drive-thru on the way home.  Thankfully, traffic was a lot lighter, so the trip was easier.  Meg talked the entire time.  She gave us her thoughts on basketball first and then talked a lot about the classes that were presented today at chapel concerning interim in March.  Meg's first pick was a Civil Rights trip to Memphis and Raleigh with Mr. Kauffman.  We thought that one sounded awesome and were glad that she felt that way as well.

Doug and Cam were in bed when we got home.  Doug had county council tonight so he was unable to go with us to Meg's game.  Cam had a fun night at Grandma's.  They played IUopoly. It was after eleven by the time I crawled in to bed.  It was definitely a long day, but a fruitful one.
