Monday night Doug went to the high school parent teacher conferences. He met with Cal's calculus and AP history teachers first. Both were incredibly complimentary of Cal and his turn around this trimester. They felt that he was a different student and couldn't say enough nice words about his transformation.
The physics teacher also had several words of praise and also some study tips for Cal. I was very happy when Doug gave me the news. In the fall Cal's teachers were concerned about his lack of focus and interest in school. They enjoyed him as a person, but felt he wasn't living up to his potential. We are proud of him for taking the initiative to step up this trimester. We knew he could do it as did his teachers. Glad that he realized it as well.
