Sunday

Today the Heinisch children had to serve and lector along with Doug as usher.  Cal did not want to read as he was still on crutches last night, so Brett filled in.  Everyone did a great job.  The younger two went to religion afterward and the rest of us headed home.  I am still in the midst of laundry, but I was able to complete all of the library work that I needed to for tomorrow.

My parents invited us to their church for a Thanksgiving lunch.  They have it every year and this is the first one that we have been able to go to in awhile.  The food was good and plentiful.  Everyone but me likes turkey.  Meg filled up on deviled eggs and she and Cam tried some pumpkin pie.  Cal has decided to ditch the crutches which is a good sign to me.  Brett enjoyed visiting with Mrs. Meek as he rarely gets to see her anymore.

Meg had to choose between basketball and soccer today as they were at the same times.  The soccer team really needed her as there would have been no subs if she hadn't had gone.  She felt torn, but did end up going to soccer.  Carl, Doug and I went along to watch.  They got beat, but it was a lot of fun to go to.  Meg played defense for most of the game and has really worked on being more aggressive.  Even with the one sub the girls were wiped out by the end.

Tonight we took Carl to Buffalo Wild Wings in Warsaw.  This has definitely become our Sunday night ritual and everyone seemed to have a good time.  Carl said that he had a good weekend and Doug and the Heinisch children were glad to visit with him.  It is hard to believe at times that Jeanette is really gone.  The children have created a lot of wonderful memories, and I know they will think of her when they look at her paintings.
