Cam, Meg and Doug journeyed to DeKalb today to visit Jeanette. They wanted to see her before we leave for Disney World. Cal and I were unable to make it, but plan to return with them on Easter. Those in DeKalb all had a great time. Dan's family was able to visit for part of their stay. Cameron and Addie had a wonderful time playing States Sequence with Carl. Once again lunch was ordered from Portillo's. That has become a family favorite.
I know that it was a long trip for them, but I am glad that they were able to make it. Doug was able to catch up with his Mom on some of the logistics of the next couple of months. He even found out that she met Grace Kelly when she toured Europe after college. Cameron and Meg always love visiting Jeanette. Her spirits are high when they are there. I know this will be a rough couple of months, but unfortunately there is no easy way to say goodbye to someone you love, especially one who has been such an important part of your life.
